OMUG Software

Software

These programs have been tested by OMUG members and have been found to be useful. Of course, there are many other collections of Mac software which are much bigger, for example the Versiontracker Web database and our local Mac Support server. These sites are referenced on the OMUG links page. This collection is intended to be: shareware and freeware, local, easy to access, useful software only, and up to date.

Note: Some web browsers might have problems accessing these areas (they use FTP). If this happens you can connect to macintosh.otago.ac.nz/Software with an FTP program (like Fetch) or through Appleshare file sharing (Chooser in Mac OS 9, Connect to server in Mac OS X). Alternatively, try a different web browser. The server is called "Macintosh" (macintosh.otago.ac.nz) and its in the "ITS Services DN" zone (if you connect using Appletalk). Connect as a guest, and select the item "Software".
